2008 Reflection

As I lie on the couch trying to feel better I started thinking about the past year and all that has happened. 2008 has been an unbelievable year for my family and me!! It's funny how the older I get....the quicker time passes. Here are some memories from 2008!

Catherine and Jason welcomed William Hart Ballard into the world.

Chris and Jodie welcomed Brenna Elizabeth Gardill into the world.

Andrew and I bought our very FIRST home!

Andrew surprises me in Charleston, SC with a BEAUTIFUL engagement ring!!!!!

I quit my job in NC and packed everything up to move to VA!

Grumpy is recognized as a Distinguished Alumni at Mountaineer Field.

Andrew and I are married on the most PERFECT November day!

What a fantastic year 2008 has been. We have been so incredibly blessed. Can't wait to see what 2009 has in store for us!!!!!

The BEST First Christmas EVER!

Andrew and I stayed Christmas Eve at his Mom's in Pearisburg with she and the puppy. I woke everyone up at 7:30 to see if Santa had arrived! We opened gifts and had a GREAT morning. Then we got on the road to West Virginia and spent the evening with my family at the "crazy house". We had a WONDERFUL first Christmas together!

Aunt Claira made me the CUTEST PJs EVER! I went upstairs and tried them on right away!

I heard these guys on the Today Show Monday morning. I immediately got on iTunes and purchased their album! Their sound is AMAZING!! Anyone looking to be put into the Christmas spirit would L-O-V-E this!!!!!! (Sorry for the cheap plug! But I just had to share my finding!)

Our Home at Christmas Time

So I decided to change the ribbon today and add some ornaments even though you can't really see the ornaments in the picture. But I thought I'd share.

Eventhough I have lived in Pearisburg since June, it is difficult to get a driver's license without having any bills in your name to show your proof of residency. So needless to say, with the name change and all...I am OFFICIALLY a resident of Virginia!

Drew and I were so blessed to be surrounded by our loved ones today in our home. My parents, Catherine, and William are visiting for a few days and Drew's family came up for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a SUCCESS even though we are a little short on furniture....the borrowed tables from the Club worked out!!! We were able to use most of our beautiful wedding gifts to entertain our families. And of course, my blog wouldn't be complete without a picture of William.
